Weekly Roundup 2.29 :: Westland Engagement Shoot

Sunday afternoon we’ll be shooting an engagement session at the Westland Distillery in Seattle. This place is the coolest. I’m also in the middle of planning a styled wedding shoot there for August/September that I can’t even tell you how excited I am. We’re shooting for the stars on this one!

+Heading out for a girls’ night Friday night with Jaime to have dinner and see the new Zach Braff movie, Wish I Was Here. I just so happen to know some people involved in making the movie, plus I adore Zach Braff. It was pretty much a win!
+Second shot a wedding at the Skansonia Sunday night with the awesome Amanda Lloyd. Such a beautiful wedding with the most adorable couple. The views from the Skansonia are amazing.
+Spending the afternoon with Kelly Lemon Monday working on some videos for her blog. Kelly’s right arm was paralyzed in a car accident when she was 12 years old. Fast forward 14 years and she is running a successful photography business and writing a series on her blog called A Life Modified, talking about her injury, showing how she handles daily tasks with only one arm, and answering questions about her experiences. I’m so glad I can help her out by putting together a few videos – like how she curls her hair and cooks!
+Lists, lists, lists. Going camping this weekend and I have been making lists upon lists for packing and shopping. I love it. I love checking things off a list.

+Waking up at 2:30 a.m. and not being able to go back to sleep. How is it that when the normal alarm goes off, I can barely open my eyes and then last night, boom, 2:30 and I’m WIDE AWAKE? It does not make sense.

+I like to believe that camping is a cheaper alternative to other types of recreation. But it’s really just not so. By the time you book a campsite ($85 for three days) and buy all the food and extra things like firewood and propane, it ends up costing $500!

+The cutest puppy face ever, second shooting, a beautiful Seattle view, not as much traffic as I thought there would be, my most favorite of all couples portraits posted to the blog this week.
