I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the new year. What are my plans for my life, for my business? What do I want to accomplish? What do I want to change? How many weddings do I want to book in 2014? How will I market my senior photography business? How do I continue to have the type of home, family, lifestyle and marriage that I want and need.
One of the things I want to work on in the new year is my “road rage.” I get so frustrated with other drivers, sometimes screaming in my car to myself. But it doesn’t help anyone, least of all me. It doesn’t add anything good to my life.
It occurs to me that really, what I want and what I think a lot of people want from their life is to be HAPPY. And we think there are things like losing weight (of course the most common New Year’s Resolution) and not yelling at that slow driver in the “fast lane” who will not move over and is going 5 miles under the speed limit will give us that happiness.
But what if you just CHOOSE to be happy? Sometimes it’s just not that easy you say. Or maybe it is? And maybe if you choose happiness, the rest will follow?
