Washington Arboretum Engagement :: Nazila+Marty
Nazila and Marty’s Washington Arboretum Engagement was one of my favorites from 2016 and rounded out as the last session of the year.
Nazila came to the session wearing THE cutest outfit. I was so excited. She wore a fitted black long-sleeved shirt with a pink tulle skirt, statement necklace and of course, black heels. The outfit was like a dream. Marty wore stylish jeans and a lavender and white check button up shirt. Their outfits coordinated but didn’t match – which is ideal for engagement photos.
We could not get away from the November rain completely. But Nazila and Marty were game for some cute umbrella photos. So we started out at the Washington Arboretum near the visitors center under their beautiful pergola. The Arboretum has a wide variety of locations for an engagement shoot.
After we shot some of their engagement photos under the pergola, we walked to the beautiful steps across the road. Followed by walking a little ways into the park to get some images of the two of them walking with their adorable dog, Chewy. Chewy wasn’t as interested in getting his picture taken. But we were able to get him into some of the photos and he loved walking along with Marty and Nazila.
We rounded out their session by heading to the bridge, sharing the space with another photographer shooting an album cover for a local band. Then we found a bench along a pretty pathway to grab a few more pics. Finally, we ended the session just up the road from the visitor center. This was the time to have some fun. Marty twirled Nazila around and lifted her up and spun her around. They are just so cute and so totally in love.
I photographed this Engagement Session at the Washington Arboretum in Seattle, Washington as an Associate Photographer for Lloyd Photographers. Cannot wait for their wedding in July at Bellevue Towers
